On January 13, 2024, New York City becomes the epicenter of retail innovation as the National Retail Federation’s Big Show commences. This high-profile event attracts a staggering 40,000 participants from over 6,200 retail and ecommerce brands. The buzz from the show will transition into a dynamic LinkedIn Live event, the Post NRF 2024 Briefing.

In a unique collaboration, Ian Jindal, the editor-in-chief of InternetRetailing, teams up with Michel Koch, greyhairworks!'s head of France, to provide a comprehensive recap of the show's most critical moments. This briefing aims to enlighten both retailers and suppliers with on-the-ground insights.

From January 13 to 16, Jindal and Koch will navigate through the maze of expo halls, attend conferences, and conduct interviews. Their journey will culminate in a LinkedIn Live session on January 24 at 2pm GMT, where they will dissect the event's highlights.

Key discussions will revolve around the latest breakthroughs in products and technology showcased at the event. The duo will share their perspectives on innovations that impress ("wow"), those that are incremental, and others that might not hit the mark ("meh"). A significant focus will also be on the retail industry's future direction and hot topics of debate.

Adding a personal touch, Jindal will delve into his own store research, pinpointing moments of awe and stores that epitomize excellence. With over 170 store visits in New York City last November, he plans to spotlight the top 10 stores that redefine retail standards, along with 21 timeless classics and another 50 worth exploring. Jindal's findings, complete with a map and detailed analysis, will be shared in the live stream, where he and Koch will discuss their experiences and insights.

Jindal's commentary on New York's retail scene is striking: "New York is a global retail capital where high investment meets even higher expectations and the pinnacle of service." He notes the diversity of global brands in the city, each tailoring its presence to local clients and competitors, with some brands experimenting, marking their debut, or setting new benchmarks in retail.
