Seasalt, a popular clothing brand based in Cornwall, has announced the launch of its resale platform in partnership with Reskinned, a sustainable pre-loved clothing repair and resale specialist. The new platform will enable customers to purchase pre-loved and repaired Seasalt clothing that has been taken back from customers to be rehomed.
The online shop, which is now live, will offer customers a range of pre-loved Seasalt clothing, including dresses, tops, trousers, skirts, and accessories. All items will be repaired and restored to their original condition, and customers will be able to purchase them at a discounted price.
The launch of the resale platform is part of Seasalt’s commitment to sustainability and circular fashion. The brand has been working with Reskinned since 2019 to reduce the amount of clothing that goes to landfill.
Commenting on the launch, Seasalt CEO, Paul Hayes, said: “We’re delighted to be launching our resale platform with Reskinned. We’re passionate about sustainability and circular fashion, and this is a great way for us to reduce the amount of clothing that goes to landfill. We’re confident that our customers will love the range of pre-loved items on offer.”
Reskinned CEO, Sarah McVittie, added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Seasalt on this exciting new initiative. We’re passionate about helping brands to reduce their environmental impact, and this is a great way for us to do that. We’re confident that customers will love the range of pre-loved items on offer.”
The launch of the resale platform is part of Seasalt’s wider sustainability strategy, which includes the use of sustainable fabrics, such as organic cotton, and the use of recycled materials. The brand has also committed to reducing its carbon footprint by 20% by 2025.
The new platform is the latest in a series of initiatives that Seasalt has launched to reduce its environmental impact.
