Lithuania-based company Pineca, which specializes in selling prefabricated wooden buildings, is expanding its operations to Sweden. This marks the company’s third expansion in Europe in the last 12 months, following the launch of an online store in the Netherlands in May.
Pineca was founded in 2011 and currently sells a range of garden buildings, wooden houses and garages online. The company has reported that despite the current economic downturn, it has exceeded last year’s financial results.
Arūnas Gečiauskas, CEO of Pineca, said: “Our efforts to optimize and improve our operations, marketing and customer support quality in the last three years allow us to have a better result during this economic downturn. We are planning to open new markets as well as to expand product range and continue efforts to improve our customer service.”
Karolis Kailiunas, Head of Marketing at Pineca, added: “We can clearly see that the customer needs and regulations of the prefab building market in Sweden differ from our other markets, and the significant part of the demand is related to turn-key solutions that are in a much higher price range. We intend to offer customers high-quality DIY prefabricated wooden buildings that are quickly and easily assembled and feature a much lower price online.”
The online store will initially feature smaller-size products, such as residential and non-residential annexes, outdoor saunas, garages and carports. Pineca plans to gradually extend the product range with bigger residential wooden houses, which will also interest real estate developers.
The Swedish expansion is the first step in Pineca’s plans to enter the Scandinavian market. The company also has plans for a future expansion to Austria.
According to a report by eCommerce News, Pineca’s expansion to Sweden is part of a larger trend of eCommerce companies expanding into new markets. The report states that “the eCommerce sector is growing rapidly in Europe, with more and more companies entering new markets”.
Pineca’s expansion into Sweden is a testament to the company’s success in adapting to the changing economic climate and its commitment to providing customers with high-quality products and services. With its Swedish online store, Pineca is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for prefabricated wooden buildings in the Scandinavian market.
