AO has become the first UK online retailer to stock ‘as new’ mobile phones, offering customers the chance to purchase used and refurbished Apple handsets at a fraction of the price of brand-new ones. The phones, which are sold through the retailer’s Mobile Phones Direct brand, come with a 12-month warranty and are delivered in recyclable brown packaging.

Scott Hooton, Mobile director at AO, said: “There is huge demand right now for more cost-effective options when it comes to upgrading or replacing mobile phones so we’re thrilled to be the first online retailer to launch this special new range of ‘as new’ phones for UK customers.”
