After a decade of service, Dreams IT director Richard Baker has announced his departure from the furniture retailer. Baker joined Dreams in September 2012 as its head of IT, and was promoted to director of IT in 2017. Prior to Dreams, he spent over 15 years at rival Furniture Village, holding a variety of senior positions including group IT manager, group IT controller and director of IT and communications.

In a statement on LinkedIn, Baker said: “After 10 happy and successful years at Dreams it’s time to say goodbye. Being part of Dreams’ success and seeing the company go from strength to strength is something I feel very proud and privileged to have been a part of. To my team, past and present, thank you for your support, resilience and commitment. Everything we’ve achieved here has always been a team effort. To my colleagues at Dreams, it has been a pleasure working with you. Thank you for making my time at Dreams such a fulfilling experience.”
Baker’s new role is as group IT director at vertically integrated horticultural agri-business, Flamingo Horticulture.
